LODGING INFORMATION
The Sparkler Juniors is a 'Stay to Play' eventTriple Crown has an official lodging online platform that teams are required to use for booking lodging. This convenient software automates and simplifies booking and reporting your rooms. When a team is paid and registered the coach will be emailed a custom team booking link. Teams that register early have first access to book lodging with our approved hotel partners. Many hotels or rooms types sell out fast. This system will allow you to request more rooms at some hotels but this is NOT a guarantee. We are always working to add hotels and more rooms so please check the feed regularly. EVENT DETAILS
2025 marks the 23rd year for the Sparkler Juniors, which continues to be a magnet for the nation's most competitive and promising young talent in club softball. In 2024, 1100 teams played in the Colorado 4th of July event and more than 500 college coaches made sure to be on site to scout the deep base of skilled players.
Format: 6-game guarantee pool to elimination bracket. College exposure with 500 college coaches in town recruiting. We will once again evaluate 14U teams for placement in the following divisions: Power Pool, Supplemental Power Pool and Open Division. 14U will play in Northern CO and 12U will play in Colorado Springs.
Age Cutoff Date: August 31st, 2024 Triple Crown Sports age restrictions are as follows NEW FOR 2025: The age of the player on August 31 indicates what division they must play (example: if a player is 12 on August 31st, they can still play 12U, if they are 13 on August 31st they must move up to play 14U). Awards: 1st-4th place team awards. 1st & 2nd place individual awards. Game Times Available: June 3rd, 2025, after 5 p.m. MST. All Star Games: We will once again have special games for 12U and 14U divisions on Monday, June 30th. These will be open for you to register after the first of the year. Elite College Camps: On Monday, June 30th we will host 8 instructional clinics each run by an entire staff of a university. We will list these camps after the 1st of the year on this website. 14 & Under - all play will once again take place in Northern Colorado with The Ballpark at Erie and Christopher Fields being our hub for Power Pools and Barnes in Loveland serving as our base for all other 14U divisions. 12 & Under - will play their games in Colorado Springs! Teams are required to book a minimum of 40 nights within the block to be bracketed into the event. Teams can not book lodging until paid and registered into the event.
OPEN DIVISION LOCATIONS- The 14u division is played in Northern Colorado with the city of LOVELAND serving as the hub. All fields are within 30 minutes of Loveland. The 12u division is played entirely in Colorado Springs with the Skyview Complex serving as the hub. All fields are within 15 minutes of Skyview. SUPPLEMENTAL POWER POOL LOCATIONS- The 14u Supplemental Power Pools will be played in Loveland and Erie Tuesday- Thursday. Teams who win their pool will advance to the Power Pool Bracket Friday-Sunday. All other teams will play in the Supplemental Power Pool Bracket Friday-Sunday. POWER POOL LOCATIONS- The 14u Power Pools will be played in Erie and Westminster Tuesday- Thursday. Teams advancing to the TV bracket on Thursday will play at the Aurora Sports Park. Bracket play Friday- Sunday will take place at Erie Park and Christopher Fields. PIN TRADING- We will offer formal pin trading as part of the 12u player party. We see pin trading at the 14u party but will not offer it formally. Towels will be available for sale in our Sparkler Juniors merchandise tent. GATE- There will be NO GATE at all Sparkler Juniors facilities. A gate fee will be in place at the two main complexes (Christopher Fields and the Aurora Sports Park) for 16's, 18's, and specialty events. If you are playing in the 14u Power Pool All Star Games, 14u Power Pool TV Bracket at the Aurora Sports Park, 14U All American Games or just visiting, a gate fee will be charged (coaches and players get in free). ALL STAR GAMES- 14u Monday, July 1 at Barnes in Loveland for the Open & Supplemental Power Pool Divisions and on Thursday, July 4 at the Aurora Sports Park in Aurora for the Power Pool teams. 12u will be on Monday, July 1 at Skyview in Colorado Springs. All games will be no conflict with your teams tournament games. DIVISIONS/ FORMATS- 14u will feature several divisions; Open, Supplemental Power Pools, and the Power Pools which require an application if your team did not receive an invite. Power Pool format is 4 games in a modified format to get to the "TV bracket" and then seeded into a double elimination bracket finish. Open division will play four pool seeding into Gold, Silver and Bronze modified double elimination brackets to single elimination championships for each. Supplemental Power Pools will play four pool with top seed playing in the Power Pool bracket. 12u will feature four pool seeding into Gold, Silver, Bronze modified double elimination brackets to single elimination for each. PLAYING RULES/ BATS- The event uses NFHS rules with a few Triple Crown modifiers. Please refer to the rules section of this web page for details. COOLERS, CONCESSIONS & FOOD- For the 14u event there are no cooler or outside food restrictions. Some fields will have concessions and some will not. Please plan accordingly. For the 12u event we'll have concessions/ food trucks at all parks. There are no cooler or outside food restrictions at El Pomar, Leon Young or Goose Gossage. The concessionaire at Skyview will often try to enforce a cooler restriction; bring them in and we'll fight the fight with you as best we can. 
REFUND POLICYA 20% non-refundable administration fee will be charged on all registrations. There are no refunds or transfers if brackets have been posted, your age division is sold out or if a team cancels 30 or fewer days prior to the start of the event. Otherwise, if a team cancels 90 days prior to the event start date, they may transfer the registration to another Triple Crown Fastpitch headquartered event for full value or receive a refund via check minus the 50% fee. Lastly, if a team cancels 91 prior to the event start date, they may transfer the registration to another Triple Crown Fastpitch headquartered event for full value or receive a refund via check minus the 20% administration fee. If an age division does not make you will be entitled to a full refund. Act of God Refund Policy If an event is lost due to weather or any Act of God (i.e. COVID-19), the entry fee will be refunded via check minus the 20% administration fee. If one game is played you will receive 50% of entry fee. If two or more games are played there is no refund. CONTACT
