Sparkler Showcase All-Star Games

In 2005, the Triple Crown Sparkler tournament launched the Sparkler College Exposure Showcase All-Star Games with great success. Rosters for these games were selected based on graduating class and regions, and we continue the Showcase All-Star games in 2018. Each evening the Christopher Complex will be gated for General Admission. All players and up to four coaches per team will be admitted free of charge to the evening's festivities.

Along with Showcase Games we feature food vendors, fastpitch product vendors and special activities. On festival nights it's common to find notable figures such as Michele Smith, Jessica Mendoza, Jennie Finch, Crystl Bustos and Cat Osterman signing autographs on site. You will receive more information on the format and entry process upon acceptance for the Colorado Sparkler Tournament.
2018 marks the 16th year of the Triple Crown Sparkler tournament. Headquarters is the Christopher Complex in Westminster, CO., widely appreciated as one of the finest four-field complexes in the United States. We'll also be playing at facilities in Westminster, Thornton, Northglenn, Federal Heights, Littleton, Arvada, Aurora, Brighton, Denver, Commerce City, Lakewood and other northern Colorado cities. Each community has put a lot of time and effort in to making the Colorado Sparkler a success, and we appreciate all their hard work.

Looking back over the past 15 years, we would never have imagined how quickly this event would grow into one of the premier showcase tournaments in the country. In 2002, 108 teams participated in the first year of the Colorado Sparkler. In 2015, the Sparkler, Sparkler Juniors, and Fireworks, brought more than 800 teams to Denver.

One of the highlights of the Colorado Sparkler is the Showcase All-Star games, to be played at Christopher Complex on Monday/Tuesday, June 25-26. The teams are formed based on division, graduation class and region of the country. The teams are coached by NAIA and Junior College (JUCO) coaches. This is a great opportunity for All-Star game players to interact with college coaches and learn about the college exposure process. The All-Star games are also very beneficial for the college coaches, who are actively recruiting players based on need of position as well as graduation year.

We will once again play our All-American games at Christopher Complex on our festival night of Wednesday, June 27. College coaches will select the top performers from the Showcase All-Star Games earlier in the week to play in these “Best of the Best” games. The All-American games have a MLB All-Star Festival game feel, with over 10,000 packing the complex. On festival night we will televise two games on ESPN 3. Game 1 will feature two of our top-ranked 18U teams squaring off; Game 2 showcases top players from both tournaments. The Sparkler/Fireworks Best of the Best Game will be a preview of the future stars in college softball. It was truly a night to remember!

We will continue our All-Academic Games in 2018 at the Aurora Sports Park on Thursday, June 28. Student-athletes must meet one of the following criteria: 3.8 cumulative GPA, 28 or above on ACT or class rank in the top 15%.

On Thursday, June 28 at the Aurora Sports Park we will have our second TV doubleheader showcasing the 14U Power Pool as well as 16U Power Pool finalists. Alongside the TV games we have our Home Run Competition as well as Fastest @ the 4th. We will also honor our Military by having a special game played on another field.

Our plans are to continue producing the best tournaments and showcase opportunities in the U.S. Triple Crown is dedicated to developing various opportunities within the college placement experience to help players, as well as college coaches, with the recruiting process. This is a fantastic event and definitely one that prospective student-athletes and college coaches should not miss!
"I continue to be amazed by TCS tournaments as whole. TCS runs the best tournaments from start to finish than any other organization. The Sparkler specifically is quite an undertaking, and every year I walk away amazed at how well the tournament is run. From games times you can count on, to professionalism by the staff, to education of the college recruiting process. EXCELLENT!!" --Lady Hustle, CA

"I have to let you know that this was the first time I had been to the Sparkler and it was everything the people said it was. It was the best-run tournament I have been involved with in 10 years of coaching. I was very impressed with everything from the fields, the umpires and the people at the fields to answer questions." --Anonymous

"I wanted to thank you and tell you how grateful we were to participate in the Sparkler this year. It was without a doubt the most professionally-run tournament we have played all year. We appreciate all that you did to arrange the (off-field) discount fun events and the overall experience of all three of our teams was totally positive! You can count us in for next year at the Sparkler!" --Missouri Revolution

"I am the coach's wife and our daughter went to Virginia Tech on a softball scholarship. We have been to a lot of tournaments through the years, but we have never been to a tournament that has been so informative and helpful with anything and everything, as this one has! You guys have done a great job and I wanted to let you know it. I don't think people stop and think how difficult it is to put on a tournament of this size. We do appreciate all that you have done!! Forward this to the entire committee, our hats are off to you all." --Diamond Dusters, WV
